Mick Jagger underwent TAVR Procedure

The procedure Mick Jagger underwent last week was a TAVR, in Australia this procedure is called a TAVI. This is “a miracle procedure” and is performed by Dr Alex Incani and Dr Karl Poon St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital

TAVI is a procedure to repair a damaged heart valve which may have been caused by Aortic Stenosis (Aortic Stenosis is a narrowing of the aortic valve opening and can lead to breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue and dizziness). Your GP may detect a problem with your heart valve by listening to your heart beat!

If your GP would like an opinion about your heart valve contact Dr Alex Incani for a consultation on 1300 306 358 or Dr Karl Poon on 1300 220 204. Dr Incani and Dr Poon perform TAVI St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital
