Clinical and Cardiac Imaging Specialist
Dr Harendra Wijesekera joined the CVC CardioVascular team in February 2016 as a Clinical and non -invasive Cardiologist.
Harendra grew up in Brisbane and moved to Melbourne where he graduated from Monash University in 2006, he completed his cardiology advanced training at Monash Heart Victoria. Subsequently he undertook an imaging fellowship at the Northern Hospital and finished his training in Cardiac Computed Tomography (CTA) at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore USA.
Harendra is trained in Advanced Echocardiography and Cardiac Computed Tomography (CTA). He consults on all forms of cardiovascular disease and has a particular interest in the assessment and optimization of cardiovascular risk, chest pain, valvular heart disease and heart failure.
Dr Wijesekera now resides in Hervey Bay as part of the CVC CardioVascular team and is available for consultations and referral advice at the Sara Stella Medical Centre, St Stephens Private Hospital, Urraween.
